back to Wookey Parish website, please take a moment to look around. Wookey village, which gives it's name to the parish is a small village in the county of Somerset, south west England, and is not to be confused with Wookey Hole a close neighbour. The parish contains the villages and hamlets of Wookey, Yarley, Worth, Henton, Bleadney and Castle. It is situated just south of the Mendip hills and just north of the Somerset wetlands and moors, approximately two miles west of the city of Wells.
